Bandai MG Kamen Rider W Cyclone Joker - Review

Feeling great today and in a mood to blog, blog, blog! Pity how I still have backlogs and I can hear them cry. That can wait. Now we have a spotlight which is if you are a Gundam fan, you are most probably a Kamen Rider junkie! I present - Kamen Rider W Cyclone Joker!!!

A good 360 view. You can see how this kit stands tall among my 1/144 collection.

A black Kamen Rider?

No! A green Kamen Rider?

Came with a more dramatic scarf (a bit longer) and an action base connector

Plus an action base :D

HENSHIN!!

Fiddling the scarf gives a more lively feel

Articulation - split and kneel poses? No problem.

さあ、お前の罪を数えろ! Sā, omae no tsumi o kazoero!

Hiyaa!!!

My favorite pose

Rider Kick-u!!!

...And the awkward looking W's signature rider kick

And the verdict?

Pros:
Big!
Articulation
That defining eyes rock!
Action Base
Solid/Stable

Cons:
As a Master Grade, a bunch of nub marks aren't well placed to be hidden
Lots of stickers
Articulated hands are cool but would have been great if it has interchangeable signature hands

My very first MG from Bandai gave me that kick to build and blog all over again. A solid kit overall which strayed away from the usual mechs I've worked on but staying true to quench any modelers crave. I only hope that the Figurerise from what I've read have revolutionized with their Tiger and Bunny kits. Should I recommend this kit over SIC or Figuarts? That depends on your priority. If there's that modeler in you that screams and craves building a kit occasionally then yes! But if you're on the other side of the fence and want your KR's to be able to imitate the real thing then yes again only with a little pull and tug AND if you can get the Figurerise version for the same price if not cheaper. SIC/Figuarts still has the maturity advantage over the Figurerise in terms of pulling that character off the screen realizing a collector's wet dreams. Pick your poison! Cheers :)

Pros: Weapons Sculpt is spot on Cons: Articulation plenty but a bit restrictive compared to newer releases by SHF Rockman Zero builds on a new era from the X series. It brings BACK the fun of what the blue bomber and red slasher should be - the best side scrolling game in which the X7 and X8 failed to deliver. Rockman Zero was the sav...

TT Hongli MG 1/100 Exia Ignition Mode - Review

Assembling bootleg kits can be a pain at times but this MG Exia Ignition Mode was a breeze. I was surprised from the fact that 90% went well and the other 10% were minor fixes - from shaving male connectors to gluing parts. I really enjoyed assembling my first Master Grade (I was hoping it was Bandai, my wallet was not cooperating as expected lol). Action! G...Gu...Gundaaaaaam!!!!!!!!!!! GUUUUNDAAAAMU!!! Ore wa........... Ore Wa Gundam-da!! Exia exterminating target............... Graham: Ike, Setsuna! Live and unlock the future! More swords Setsuna? Target exterminated! Joining the bunch :D Pros: Assembling is pretty easy for a bootleg Build is sturdy It came with LEDs! Cons: Joints are too stiff (for my liking, anyways, it made the kit solid though) Swords at his wait does not fit the peg in the hand Exia Repair parts does need half of the non-Repair head. (didn't bother with the transformation) The Exia Ignition Mode is a must have! I'm really g...

RIP Crimson Comet

Photobucket has kidnapped my photos and I'm too lazy to re-upload and update every bit. It's been worthwhile. I'm intending to start a new blog that is more "personal" than just focus on one part of my hobby. Looking at my older posts, I can fairly say I've improved on my toy photography (and English!) in which I am thankful for this space as a medium to share my work. Thank you for reading up to this part! Cheers for 7 years!
