Bandai RG Aile Strike - Review

The day has come to review my most adored kit! The first time I saw Aile Strike, I just knew its mech design is very special. Having the RG treatment really kicked off the old MG in terms of articulation and detail. Let's have a look at Strike and his cool equipment!

Yes! Yes! YES! Aggressive curves, sharp angles, and a mean looking head. Zaft should be afraid. Be very very afraid!





Add an aggressive looking booster pack to an already aggressive looking Mobile Suit and you get a masterpiece design! It's so...... AGGRESSIVE!

Pros:
Who wouldn't fall for this design? This kit is a looker!
Articulation
A lot more solid than my previous RG's (fingers does NOT pop out of its palm)

Cons:
A couple of popping parts here and there when you fiddle it around too much.
Careful when twisting the body's core when posing. Fitted too snugly.
No matter how I put the Schneider in his pockets, it just won't budge
Back heavy

From the early RG's to this guy, it seemed that Bandai heard the fans about how fragile the pieces were. Good thing they have improved a lot for a short period of time. Mk-II also looks to be another improvement on the solidity and from what I saw, I believe they have separate trigger hands for holding the gun. With this kit however, there are still remnants showing how an RG being an RG. Fragile. But again, this kit is a lot more solid and didn't gave me a lot of pain during the photoshoot.

Assembling this kit was a treat. Seeing how it turned out, the execution, the design, and the overall sleekness Strike left the impression and got my brother into buying his own GunPla. This is by far my most recommended RG kit to date!

PS.
I have mentioned that this IS the best lead Gundam EVAR! LOL, Bandai with the snap of fate, reminded me how Zeta turned the world around being the first lead without the face vents. Next RG will be Zeta and I am quite sure It'll be the next purchase! Hmm, both are great but I'd lean in towards the Strike because of how it stayed true to pay tribute with the original but can still stand on its own as a new generation lead.

    Yes it does but it is a separate purchase.
    You get the sky grasper Launcher / Sword pack.

    But if your talking about the Grand Slam sword (which I think comes with the Perfect Grade?)
    Then no. Another separate purchase. Not sure if it is an exclusive item.
    Probably released along side the HG Strike Remaster Ver

Bandai RG RX-78-2 Gundam - Review

The much anticipated (and delayed) review of my RG RX-78-2! I broke the chest piece when I was applying some finishing touches on the kit. Crap it was a nightmare! When the piece snapped into two I couldn't hold back and yelled NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! That serves another lesson for me. Never EVER force yourself into working with half-assed consciousness. Weeks came by and I was able to get in touch with someone who has a spare RG RX-78-2 kit. Viola, my kit is RESTORED! Onto the review, here's the RX-78-2 in its Real Grade Excitement Embodied glory Ah, the Real Grade. Stressing color separation. The attention given to the details of RG kits is just plain awesome! The different shades of white, red, and blue is fantastic. Showing off some articulation here, kneeling poses are a bit better than the RG Char Zaku. Goes to show that top notch engineering with a mini-skirt design Gundam works! That's Amuro by the way :p Will paint...

QY SD God Gundam - Mini WIP, Assembly Cure and Review

Thank GOD I'm back! Lumix is back and my GunPla energy has been over the top! I'm feeling good this morning and built Gundam Alex. Well more on that next time, but again, thank GOD I can finally review my QY God Gundam! Starting off, here is the box of QY's bootleg of God Gundam (Deitg Warrior). Unboxing this miniscule kit, there are only 5 runners along with the polycaps. ..And here's my bootleg Unicorn (mfg by Jargon), envious why he does not have a review. Issue 01: Starting off our assembly cure, carefully shave off the chest piece by a hobby knife to snugly fit it into the chest armor. Issue 02: Like most of my QY kits, head continues to be problematic. Cut the male connectors and apply glue to the seams. Issue 03: Waist armor male connectors are too thick. Shave by a hobby knife or sand it down to fit the pieces. Issue 04: Arms too have fitting issues. Cut the male connectors and then glue. Make sure you do not forget the poly cap when gluing! Is...
